AI-Processed Data: To enable search functionality, we process your screenshots using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to extract text, and AI analysis to generate titles, tags, and visual descriptions. This processed data is stored alongside your screenshots.
Usage Data: We collect basic analytics about how you use the service, including screenshot counts and feature usage, to improve our product.
Service Provision: We use your data to provide screenshot storage, search functionality, and organizational features.
AI Processing: Screenshots are processed by AI (OpenAI) to extract text and generate searchable metadata. This processing is essential to our core functionality.
Product Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us understand how users interact with Screenmarks and improve our service.
Your data is stored securely in cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
While we take security seriously, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to promptly addressing any breaches in accordance with applicable laws.
OpenAI: We use OpenAI's API for AI analysis (OCR, titling, visual descriptions). Screenshots are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's use of this data is governed by their privacy policy and data usage agreements.
Dodo Payments: Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments. We do not store your full credit card details; Dodo Payments manages this securely under their PCI-compliant infrastructure.
We retain your screenshots and associated data for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual screenshots at any time from your dashboard.
Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
Access: You can access all your screenshots and data through your dashboard.
Export: Pro users can export their data. We support full data portability.
Deletion: You can delete individual screenshots or request complete account deletion by contacting us.
Correction: You can update your account information and edit notes on your screenshots at any time.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or extensive tracking. Analytics, if used, are privacy-respecting and anonymized.
